Botswana Visas

Citizens from Commonwealth countries are not required to obtain visa for entering Botswana, except in cases where the Minister of Labour and Home Affairs have stipulated and directed to contrary. Botswana has signed with a number of countries visa abolition agreements. Thus nationals from these countries are not required to obtain entry visa.
Requirements for Visa Application:
Visitors
- Completed immigration supplementary Form D by the applicant (Visa form).
- Supporting letter of from the host.
- Two passport size photos.
- Fee of P500.00
- Return visa or residence permit from his/her country of residence.
- Return air ticket.
- Confirmation letter from the country if the person is coming for business purposes
Employment (additional):
The process is different for individuals who have gotten jobs in Botswana. One would be required to have obtained:
- Waiver from Labour and Immigration department.
- Copy of acknowledgment slip for residence permit application.
In the event that a person who is visiting Botswana and would like to remain in the country for more than 90 days; he/she is required to apply before entering Botswana to the Chief Immigration Officer. Some nationalities are allowed to extend their stay upon expiry of their entry permit.
